This used to be a smallholding and shop owned by my grandfather and grandmother Harry and Annie Martland. They died in the late 1960s / early 1970s and the property eventually became a public house which was rumoured to be haunted. My mother Olwyn Alice Smith, was brought up in the original house. It had happy memories for me of summer holidays there.
