It looks like a railway bridge but not as we know it. You can't have failed to notice when walking this stretch of canal that you have just passed the Esholt Sewage Works, originally built by Bradford Corporation. The works had a very extensive railway network and this bridge carried a track from one side of the canal to the other. The works network join the mainline railway next to the previous railway bridge.
